Goodbye vacation number 1!

This vacation started out slow and ended fast. We got a lot done. We put up all our christmas decorations and both trees. All but one gift is finished. Wrapped a few presents. Made cookies, homemade icing and homemade marshmallows. Went grocery shopping. Had a night out with just Pat and I. And had a afternoon all by ourselves. Now I can't wait till Jan 2 for vacation #2!!!

Just an update...

I feel very overwhelmed, but very proud, that we have taken on a "Homemade Christmas". It is now November 24th and we only have 3.5 of the 12 finished. I think we will have to X a couple of them and go buy the gifts. Atleast Pat and I have decided to wait till our tax return and our Florida trip to spend monies on ourselves. That takes a lot of weight off our shoulders. Plus we will be getting the gift that we both really want. Like our new TV and a COUCH!!!! That is all I can think about.

Wish us good luck on getting the 8.5 gifts finished before Christmas!!!

"S" marks the spot.

I am so lucky that Pat and I both have the same last initial. So if/when we take the next step we won't have to change all our towels. I love the idea of having a "Theme" in every room. But I'm not a fan of themed rooms. I'm not one for light house bathrooms, cat kitchens and sea shell family rooms. I still think we should have something that links each room. My plan is to have a "S" in every room. So far we have a "S" on our wall in the living room. Here are a couple more that I would like to get from Anthropologie.com. Would look nice in our bathroom.

My weekend...

This was a busy weekend between work, a harvest party and a baby shower. I'm glad there was time to snap a few photos. Here are some of my favorites. Holden loves this tower. We didn't plan it, but his movies are in arms reach...Also in arms reach is all the okay or awful movies we own.
Little Miss. Lottie

Daddy and Bear at the Harvest party. Bear was a mexican lion.

And finally...Bear in an awesome sweater vest.

I'm terrible...

At this blog stuff. I wanted to try and post 1 post a day for 1 month. And I've only done like 4 out of 12 posts. I was very busy this past weekend and got close to nothing done. Atleast around the house and with christmas gifts. Thank heavens I have a wonderful boyfriend that did so much. He is amazing. I couldn't thank him enough. And I only have 3 or 4 photos to show for our busy busy weekend. Damn leaving my camera at home on Sunday. And last night we made strambolis and I wanted to take a picture...but we forgot to. They were yummy but very filling. Next time we will make a few changes. Mainly in the thickness of the crust. But for the most part, we are good to go.
I'm not doing to well in my picture taking. We used to take pictures of everything. Now forget about it. If you aren't Holden, you aren't picture worthy. Maybe someday soon we will get back in the groove of things and snap till the sun comes up.

Pictures of this weekend soon to come. Next post, I promise!!!

Dear Santa, I want...

Bunny vase
Acorn necklace

And murder mug!!!

Hey Bear! #3

It is so crazy that next week our baby is going to be 8 months old. Just yesterday I can remember laying on the couch while Pat counted the minutes between my contractions. In 4 months Holden will be a year old! He has been learning so much lately. From learning to sit up, how to smash food with his jaw to how to pull himself up. And showing so much interest in the little things. From the dino's on his wall to the books he touches. He is in love with new things everyday too. Like his corn baby food and dogs. He is going to be an amazing child. I see a lot of love and funny sayings/expressions coming from him. I love our little guy no matter how much he keeps us awake or how many times he makes me get up to put him back on his butt.

You been here for four hour...

(This is my second post on the 4th day of the month. I'm not doing to well with this whole thing.)

I'm so sick of money troubles that I've considered becoming an asian nail tech. How hard could getting my license be? They can't even speak english. All they do is wear a mask, not talk to you and just hold out their hand when they want to be paid. Maybe just learn by reading wiki, buy the supplies and do it in my dining room. I'd feel like Dolly Parton in Steel Magnolias. If she can do it, so can I!

What really bugs me about these money troubles is its not so much day to day or month to month. Its all these doctor bills that keep looking me in the eye. Calling everyday, every hour. Filling up my inbox. "We can take $20 a month"...But I would have to pay 5 other doctors $20-$30 a month. It may not seem like a lot, but it is.

How will we ever get baby #2 if baby #1 isn't paid off?

Happy Belated Halloween! #1

Didn't go trick-or-treating this year only because Bear has no teeth. We did go trick-or-treating at Toys R Us. Mommy and Daddy ate all the yummies. Sorry Bear!

Where is this ladder everyone is talking about?

I'm tired of my job. I'm tired of all the ass one needs to kiss to get nowhere. I'm tired of spending so much time at a job that I hate. I'm tired of waiting on people that think I'm scum. I'm tired of only complaining about my job. I'm tired. I want something new. I've come to love office supplies. I don't know why. I'm not one of those people that think of the store as "an adult candy store!". But I see it as things every person needs. Things people will always buy. Everytime I see something come through my register I've been thinking "How can I make this more attractive?". I know that I won't be able to make a living off of it. I just want to be doing something I like and making somekind of money for it. I've already started. I'm starting on making planners. I started making a weekly non-dated planner. Everyone needs a planner. From moms to hairdressers to office workers. Next are colorful pushpins, photo scratch/jotter pads and desk organizers [once I order the skeletons]. Here is a sample of what the planners will look like...I can't wait!!!

German American Festival....

Was this weekend and we went. It was my first time going. I had a blast. Drank out of a boot, bounced in a big bouncy thing, ate yummy food, drank yummy beer and got muddy. It seems like this is all our East Side has to offer. Other than stinky factories and Sonics. Above are some photos of the night.

It was the doohickey...

I figured out that my fisheye holga camera justed needed a fresh battery. Who woulda thought. I took a million and one pictures of Holden today with the camera. I can not wait to take them to get developed. This face is going to look so amazing through the eye of a fish.

Remember?

When it was warm?

Fabric doesn't belong in the trash.

It will be winter before we know it...So I will be making a quilt out of all of my scrap fabric. Atleast I can say its taking forever because its a quilt, not because I put things aside and start new projects.

Let's get organized, organized!

See ya later fat!

Started my wii fit workout last week. Going to play for the 2nd time today. Very excited to hopefully make a habit of this and lose some more of this baby weight. I'll keep you informed on how it works for me.

He is getting so big!

The first photo was taken on May 11th and the second was taken June 28th. How time flies, how fast a baby can grow. He is amazing me everyday.

He makes my heart pitter patter.

It took about 8 months before work did anything about Pat and I. They kept putting our situation off. Kept saying they'll figure something out. Nothing happend...and nothing happend. Finally, something happend. They told Pat he had to go to another store. Made me want to cry. It took about 3 hours for it to set in. About 3 hours for 6ish years flash before my eyes. All the fun we have had, inside jokes and a bucket load of memories. I know we will see eachother at home and its not like we don't have a kid together. But thats not the same. I went from seeing him every second of every day to seeing him for 4 or 5 hours a day. I miss him more and more everyday.

dunno why?

Since our son was born there is only one photo of him and i taken(shown above). Him and I alone. Not in a group photo. There are about 2 of those. If I want a photo of us taken, I have to take it myself. There maybe is 1 of those. Im pretty hurt about it. Everyone else has multiple pics of them with him. Im sad because I wont have these memories of him and I as a baby. Out of 10 people nobody even bothered to take a photo of us on mothers day. It stinks. I wish I knew why. Am I over thinking this, does this often happen to knew moms?

i heart green.

[baby bottle.ampersand.holdens bedroom carpet.]
*i know the ampersand is backwards...i accidentally painted the wrong side.

if a tree falls...

this was in my foot. may not look like much...but it was. i finally got it out after having it for about a month. it took some work. now there is a big hole and it hurts worse now than before.

canigetasecond?

all i do everyday all day is look at random blogs. blogs of people i wish i were. i have craft crushes on a lot of people. i have them all bookmarked and it takes a good hour just to check out each daily. that is if i didn't miss a day. i usually have about 5 tabs open at any time also. they give me so many ideas and inspire me. which makes me sad because i have so many of my own ideas that i don't have time to do. maybe once the craft/office/art/guest room is finished i can. only because holden will be able to sleep, rock or just sit in that space. wait...his room is right next door...and now i leave you with another list. boring to you, but off my chest for me.

[crafts/art i need to get to]

+tshirt quilt.
+paperbag picture.
+finish my 2 purses i started.
+learn to screen print.
+make my buttons. so many phrases...
+kitchen menu board.
+holdens hand and foot prints.
+many many paintings.
+holdens baby book. atleast get a few pages finished.
+charm bracelet.
+letter number plate.
+paint swatch framed art.
+tie art.
+felt painting.

*this list makes me nervous. If I know you and you do any of these things I know you copied me and I will call you out on it. My ideas are my ideas, don't copy.

**picture posted is one of the purses i didn't get around to finishing. missing 1 handle,a pocket and a snap closure.

Feet smell like pasta roni.

One of my favorite things to do is make lists. I haven't made a list in a couple months. I'm so out of practice that I don't know what to list about anymore. A lot of topics are running through my head. Some topics are: what insects would I NOT want to fly/walk into my nose/ears. Things I would not want to take a wiff of. Things I would want to take a wiff of. Animals that would look funny being photographed in hammocks, baskets or tire swings. that list would be better if I had photos. I could list any animals. not funny. Things I wish I could poop. Things I would like my poo to smell like. Things I know I will never do to save the earth....And that is that of my lists of lists. Here is a list to hold you over.
Things I know I will never do to save the earth....
+drive a hybrid vehicle.
+wear organic clothing.
+have a recycle bin for scrap paper.
+stop ordering free catalogs.
+ride city transportation while owning a working car.
+ride a bike to work.
+eat organic foods...that saves the earth right?
+owning rain barrels.
+live by "if its yellow let it mellow...if its brown flush it down".
+stop using spray paint and aerosol hairspray.
Don't think I don't do things to save the environment. I try to remember my cloth bags and I recycle all of my soda cans...when I should be taking the to get $$$ instead of giving them away. I carpool to work when I can. and I don't smoke a pipe. I'm a regular tree hugger.

Crayons Crayons Crayons.

I started prepping for a new project. I'm making lil kid crayons. Hope to pick up some more crayons, I have zero purple. They will be big enough for a tot to palm. Will post more pics when I finish.

baby poo smells like chicken.

Holden is 2 months old...yesterday. He is changing so much and looking more and more like his father everyday. He is grown out of his newborn clothes and started drinking out of a big boy bottle today. We started taking his photo next to his stuffed penguin. We will take 1 picture every monday each month. The picture above is the first one. I will be putting them in his baby book. I can't wait till I can start it. Tomorrow he gets his 1st shots. I was scared until I started thinking about it. I think it'll be the same feeling I had when he came back from getting his circumcision. The picture below is not the "favorite photo of the week" picture. It just makes me laugh and smile so much that I had to put it up.
A couple weeks ago I finished my repurpose art project. It doesn't look like much but it'll look lovely on our bedroom wall. It is made out of cardboard tp rolls. I wish I had something to make lined up. I really want to make a t-shirt quilt. I've wanted to make one ever since I was younger.
I know Pat and I both can come up with enough t's to make one.

This weeks photo favorites!

Since I'm a bit behind I added two that weren't from this week. The hat one is the only one from this week. But I love the other two so much that I added them also.
