Could May take any longer? I have been itching to grow a garden all winter...and especially since I saw all 12 tulips popping through our flower bed. I have planned the layout of the front and backyard gardens for weeks now and we purchased a ton of seeds last week. I don't think I can wait any longer! My list of flowers are as follows...
Veggies & Fruit:
Green beans.(mainly because I have a love affair for dill green beans. they are AMAZING!)
Corn.(we eat corn on the cob like it is going out of style)
Watermelon.
Cucumber.(for canning homemade dill pickles)
Green peppers.
Tomatoes (for salsa and tomato sauce.)
Potatoes.(thank you Nick Jr for teaching me how!)
Flowers:
Shasta daisy.
Butterfly flower.
Strawflower.
Black-eyed susans.
Sunflowers.
Tulips(already planted and growing).
And from potted plants:
Ferns for the back yard.
Ordamental grass for the front yard.
Gerber daisy.
And whatever else I can find in the lovely nursery.
May is going to be busy. Atleast May 8th. That is the main planting day!!!

He is a toddler!!!!

We had Holden's big birthday on his birthday (3-13-10). It was a whole lot of stress. The previous week we had new couches delivered, painted the bathroom (which took three days) and all around spring cleaned. All the stress was worth it. He was doing his own thing all day. Just hanging out with everyone in his house, for once. It was very cute. Sadly he didn't dig into his cake like most kids do. He only had a chocolate mustache and arms. It was fine by me in the end when it was time for his mini bath. But we had fun with family and friends. Twas a great day.
