Weekend adventures...

Weekend=out on the town without baby.sleepover for holden and aunt kathy.free-ish dinner at the brewing company.local beer.a trip to a local bar.late night 7-11 nachos.sleeping in with patrick.last episode of LOST.crying because of LOST.and a bunch of sadness because we have nothing to look forward to on tv.

Today in history...

Thursdays = $1.99 circle k gas station special. being short tempered with everyone at work. long walk with kristen and the boys. all in all, started out yucky...ended lovely.

Rise and Shine

Before Holden was born I would sleep till 11 on my days off. I would wake up and have something very unhealthy to eat and a soda to drink. I would stay in bed and watch detective shows until it was lunch time. I would go take a shower and run to the nearest McDonalds to pick up a burger and come back home to watch more detective shows. I would then meet up with Patrick and we would hang out. Watching Lost or go on picnics at the park or go to some random new place. Now I am lucky to sleep past 7:40. Get Holden out of bed and bring him downstairs. We have breakfast together while he watches a random cartoon. He then plays "Where's Holden?" and bangs on the front door. Then 3 hours later he lays down for his afternoon nap. That is mommy time. By now I am on my second cup of jo and catching up on all my fantastic blogs I follow.

Any who. I started thinking about all this when I saw SB challenges on the internets. Some were taking pictures of random things in your house that you see everyday but don't really pay attention to (your fridge.couch.bathroom tile.bed.remotes.shoes). Another was to document one week of your life. I would have to keep my day to day receipts, take photos of our meals, keep all my shopping lists or lists in general and document Holden's trips. I am thinking about doing the last one. Or maybe both. It will probably take me a month or two to actually do it. Who knows.

Weekend review...

Weekend = Homemaking 2 birthday presents (a tutu for Holden's cousin and a piggy bank for Holden's buddy Olly. Both 1st birthdays). Bunko with the women of Pat's family. Bathtime for Holden (which is now one of his favorite things). Big birthday bash for Olly. A lot of the word "Pow". Holden chasing Olly's dog around barking.

To do this month...

-Make homemade jam, salsa, apple sauce and spaghetti sauce.
-Plant our veg/fruit garden.
-Plant our flowers.
-Organize Holden's toys.
-Start "First year book" for Bear.
-Get a new haircut and dye hair.
-Paint livingroom mirror black.
-Go on a park picnic.
-Print pictures.
-Make an apron.

Busy weekend...

First my sister's graduation from college. Then Patricks big birthday adventures. Holden spending the night with grammy and grampy. Mother's day. And Pat's birthday. We had a jammed packed fun weekend.

out and about...

This week we took Holden on a date. A date to the park. It was his first time, and our first time in a couple years. We have missed it. He played on the swings and in the dirt. Went down a slide for the first time. And fell in love with all the people and tiny dogs. Afterwards we went to Applebees to eat. Again, our first time out at a restaurant (alone) with Holden. It was lovely. We had an amazing time.

Spring is so pretty...

I always walk through the floral dept in the grocery store. I sit and look at every one and want to buy them all! So today, like every day, I went through looking. But today I bought. I did it. And I am proud. We needed a little plant life in our home.

Today in history....

Sunday = day off!!!! one on one time with Holden. Sleeping in again with Patrick. Scrapbooking. Printing pictures. Shopping at the market and mcd ice mochas. Can't get any better.
